Description
This package targets conductors within buildings that have been in service for many years but retain good core conductivity, while the outer insulation shows mild hardening, fine cracks, or slightly reduced surface insulation resistance without exposing the conductor. We apply a specialized insulating varnish that penetrates into fine cracks and cures to form an additional dielectric barrier, after thoroughly cleaning the conductor surface with dedicated solvents to ensure good adhesion. For concentrated bundles in cable trays or conduits, we use warm air to accelerate curing and reduce on-site waiting time.
After curing, we re-measure insulation resistance at the same ambient temperature and humidity to verify the improvement. For conductor penetrations through walls or floors, we additionally install flame-retardant protective bushings to prevent future mechanical damage from hole edges. The entire operation does not alter the conductor’s current-carrying capacity or electrical connections, only reinforces the insulation layer.
This renewal plan’s coating material and number of coats are customized according to the current aging grade and conductor cross-section. A deposit is required, covering the procurement of insulating varnish, solvents, and on-site application preparation, with the amount estimated based on the total length of conductors to be treated and their density. After coating and re-verification pass, the final balance is based on the actual coated length and net material consumption.
