Description

This package focuses on verifying the operating characteristics and setting compatibility of residual current protection devices within the distribution system. The service goes beyond simple “test button” operation—we use a dedicated RCD tester to inject a progressively increasing simulated residual current into the tested circuit, precisely recording the actual trip time and operating current threshold of each device. We compare the measured values against the rated residual operating current and maximum break time marked on the device housing, determining whether the protection device’s effectiveness remains within valid limits under current environmental conditions.

After testing each individual device, we also perform a quick continuity check of all exposed conductive parts—including equipment metal enclosures, metallic conduit, and earth terminal bars—within that circuit’s protected zone to ensure that, in the event of a real fault, fault current can form a complete path for reliable device operation. For circuits where test values exceed tolerances or continuity resistance is abnormally high, we provide a separate detailed section in the report, recommending specific adjustments such as replacement with same-type devices or re-tightening of earth connection points.

This service is fully tailored to the actual types, quantities, and load characteristics of the on-site RCDs. A deposit is required at booking, covering the transportation and calibration of test instruments and site safety isolation preparations, with the amount estimated based on the total number of RCDs to be tested and the complexity of the distribution system. After all testing is completed and a report with measured data is delivered, the final balance is calculated according to the actual number of RCD groups tested and any additional continuity test points performed.
