Description
This package addresses insufficient conductor slack inside conduits or cable trays, causing excessive tensile stress at conduit exits or preventing future re-termination of terminals. We perform a relaxation operation at intermediate junction boxes or outlet points—gently pushing conductors backward or pulling spare length from adjacent boxes to create a reasonable arc buffer inside the box. For cases where no slack can be obtained from nearby nodes, we install an additional junction box at a suitable location and reliably extend the conductor using same-specification wire.
During slack adjustment, we check the integrity of conduit entry bushings, replacing any missing or deteriorated ones to ensure full coverage of sharp edges, preventing future sheath damage from vibration. After adjustment, all conductors inside boxes maintain a bending radius at least six times the outer diameter, with each conductor having a certain straight section for future maintenance. This adjustment does not alter electrical connections, only optimizes physical layout.
This adjustment plan’s additional junction box locations and extension connection methods are customized based on the actual conduit path and existing conductor slack. A deposit is required before starting, covering the procurement of junction boxes, bushings, and terminals, with the amount estimated based on the number of conduit exits to be adjusted and estimated extension length. After full adjustment and continuity verification, the final balance is based on the actual number of additional boxes, extended conductor length, and on-site work hours.
