Description
This package covers all crimped connections—including tubular terminals, flag terminals, and insulation-displacement connectors—with a thorough quality review and defect rectification. The service includes visual and gauge-based inspection of each connector’s crimp indentation position, crimp height, and conductor protrusion length beyond the crimp barrel, comparing against the manufacturer’s standard process parameters for each connector type. For connectors where crimp height exceeds tolerance, we remove them from the conductor, re-strip, and re-crimp with new connectors to ensure the compression ratio falls strictly within the acceptable window.
During re-crimping, we verify that the crimping tool is within its calibration validity and that the jaw profile matches the connector size exactly. For conductors with stray strands or broken wires within the crimped zone, we cut back to clean strands, twist them tightly with an appropriate tool, and re-insert into the connector barrel. After inspection and rework, we randomly pull-test at least 10% of the total connectors to verify mechanical retention meets standards, attaching the test data to the report.
This re-inspection service’s coverage and sampling ratio are customized based on connector types, total quantity, and circuit criticality. A deposit is required at booking, covering the on-site setup of specialized crimp inspection tools and pull-test equipment, with the amount estimated based on the estimated total number of connectors and distribution density. After full inspection and rework, the final balance is settled according to the actual number of inspection points, re-crimped connectors, and pull-test samples performed.
