Description
This package targets exposed copper busbars inside distribution boards where insulation support brackets have aged, become damp, or contaminated with dust, reducing clearance between phases or to earth, with possible tracking marks. The service involves completely de-energizing the panel or sections thereof, removing the busbars and all connected branch conductor bolts, and taking the busbars out for thorough cleaning. Cleaning includes using electrical-grade solvents to remove oxide films and stubborn contaminants, followed by uniform spray or brush application of insulating varnish to form an even additional insulation coating.
After the coating cures, we re-finish all mounting holes to remove excess coating material to ensure reliable electrical connections. Simultaneously, we inspect existing insulating support pillars or pads for cracks or carbonization, replacing them with identical new parts. During reinstallation, we apply a stepwise tightening sequence to ensure uniform contact pressure across all connections, preventing deformation from uneven tightening. After reinstallation, we re-measure phase-to-phase and phase-to-earth insulation resistance to confirm substantial improvement over pre-treatment values.
This reconstruction process and insulation material selection are customized according to busbar dimensions, phase spacing, and operating temperature inside the panel. A deposit is required before work, covering the procurement of specialized insulating paints, cleaning solvents, and replacement support components, with the amount estimated based on total busbar length and number of phases. After full reconstruction and withstand-voltage re-verification, the final balance is calculated based on actual material consumption and work hours.
