Description

This package focuses on electrical junction boxes, cable splice joints, and equipment entry ports exposed to outdoor moisture, temperature cycling, and dust. The service includes thorough removal of aged and hardened sealing compound from inside the junction boxes, cleaning of oxide layers on copper terminal bars, and refilling with a self-leveling sealing compound featuring a wide temperature tolerance, along with external wrapping. We also check the mechanical fixing feet, replace corroded or deformed screws, and adjust or replace the anti-abrasion bushings where cables enter the box to prevent direct contact between cable sheaths and metallic box edges.

After all sealing work is completed, we validate the waterproofing effect using simulated water spray tests or insulation resistance re-measurement under high humidity conditions. For cable outer sheaths showing fine cracks from prolonged UV exposure, we wrap UV-resistant self-amalgamating tape near the ports to slow further aging. Throughout the process, we pay close attention to strain relief at the conductor roots, ensuring that each conductor’s bend radius inside the box meets the minimum requirement for its type, preventing terminal loosening due to thermal expansion and contraction.

This customized project is planned based on the total number of outdoor ports, their physical location heights, and the aging level of existing sealing materials. A deposit is required for the procurement of different specifications of sealing compounds and protective tapes, with the amount preliminarily calculated based on the estimated number of ports to be treated. After site work is completed, the final cost is determined by the actual net consumption of sealing materials and the number of ports that pass final verification.
